Welcome to the first edition of the new Bermuda Progressive Labour Party Newsletter. This concise publication is intended to provide you with relevant party information that chronicles the progress of our administration team within the Party and the Parliamentary team’s efforts on your behalf on the Hill. Since the election of your new Executive Team several months ago, we have been hard at work addressing the Party’s administration through the reorganization of our Executive Departments and the Standing Committees within their remit. We have seen incredible activity in the areas of party finance and fundraising, public relations, political education forums and constituency canvassing. Their committee members have taken full advantage of our island’s social media platforms, advances in corporate administration and innovations in election campaign management. This reset will serve as a solid foundation for preparing our Party to take the election to every corner of our diverse community and establish the framework to enable us to support our leaders in every facet of governing our island home. We have been listening to you and we recognize that the key to our successful return to being your government of choice lies in connecting with you, understanding your challenges and creating policies and programmes enshrined in our 2017/18 platform that clearly state our strategic governing plan and implementation strategy if we are the next government. Over the past four years our younger, energetic Executive and Parliamentary teams have overcome

I am delighted to introduce this first edition of our PLP newsletter. It is the desire of the Executive to improve communication with you, our members. We intend to make it a regular publication and to use it as one avenue to keep you in touch with the Party’s news and events. We are committed to ensuring that the Party is election-ready. The Party’s Committees are functioning and busy preparing the Party to take back the government. Our MPs and Senators are standing strong on issues that represent our best interest. We have been on the front line with you on issues such as the Airport Redevelopment, Immigration and by requesting an investigation into the use of pepper spray. I want to thank you for your continued support. Your messages, prayers for strength, and other meaningful contributions allow us to keep fighting the good fight. All hands will be needed to ensure victory at the polls, and I encourage you all to assist in some way.
