The NEBB Professional 2024 - Quarter 3

As the Young Professionals Network grows, I see more individuals at the beginning of their careers actively participating in our committees. You don’t have to go to college to get your education and one of our core values at NEBB is training people to be the best in their industry. Our training is an avenue for training and ed ucation that will lead others to a professional career. As some of our members retire, young people are get ting the opportunity to not just join the organization but to join our committees. NP: As a business owner, you've led others through transformation and adaptation before. What do you think helped facilitate any changes that led to a brighter future? Diversity and inclusion of women to our industry. When I began my career, many work sites were mainly homogeneous. Now, I look at my team and am very proud to be a woman owner of such an awesome or ganization that embraces our diversity. I enforce my company’s core values by leading with the philoso phy that all backgrounds attribute to the contribution I can make. As a steward and pioneer for the future women in our industry, I demonstrate the value of our representation. I have encouraged our employees to gain knowledge and certifications, even promoting with financial incentives. VTG, LLC now holds two firm certifications (CPT and Sound) and we are working towards even more. I understand that with the addi tion of new certifications, we holistically enhance our attractiveness to our customers and can greater fulfill their needs.

I be come an early adopter of industry standards which keeps me very competitive in the markets. I really do have the “rest of world” experience that my customers need. Everyone is busy, I understand. I truly enjoy my career, and it doesn’t feel like a burden to volunteer. I have built a vast network of colleagues and friends through NEBB. The more involved, the more people I meet and the more I look forward to our meetings and seminars. NP: What would you like to see for the future of NEBB?
