hear t . ’ I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, as you know, O L ORD . I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly. Do not withhold your mercy from me, O L ORD ; may your love and your truth always protect me.” (Psalm 40: 6 -11) Does the Psalm pertain only to Jesus or does it extend to others? It pertains to others because Paul provides clarity, saying, “First he said, ‘Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them’ [although the law required them to be made]. Then he said, ‘Here I am, I have come to do your will’ [who, is he, who said this]. He s e t s as i de t he f i r s t t o e s t ab l i sh t he s e c ond . And whe r e t he s e hav e be en f o r g i v en , t he r e i s no l ong e r any sa c r i f i c e f o r s i n . ’ ” ( Hebrews 10:5-18) Who following Jesus will take away the sins [misunderstandings] of the world?
