IIW Annual Report 2025
Over 1,000 papers were submitted in 2025 increasing the number of submissions by 35% over 2024. The acceptance rate was 41% and the average time from submission to first decision was less than 40 days. Also, the average time from paper submission to online publication for Volume 69 was 167 days with 56% of the papers published in less than 150 days. IIW Commissions recommended 138 papers during 2025. This number consists of 122 papers from the Annual Assembly held in Genoa and 16 papers from Intermediate Meetings. The number of full text downloads again increased significantly in 2025 to over 511,654 as of October 2025, up 19% from 2024. It is estimated that the number of full-text downloads will increase to well over 520,000 by the end of the year 2025. Some of the Key Performance Indicators and publication data are presented in Tables 1 and 2 respectively.

The Editorial Board now consists of 42 members covering all technology topics featured in the journal. This group plays an essential role by helping Editors pre-screen unsolicited submissions and managing the peer review process. The Editorial Board members are listed below. WitW currently has 107 active Principal Reviewers and about 1,300 Reviewers. The Editors thank all contributors to the journal's success, including authors, unit chairs and co-chairs, reviewers, principal reviewers, the Editorial Board, IIW Secretariat, and Springer support staff.
