WELDED ART PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION THE ARTISTIC SOUL OF WELDING

YOUNG ARTISTS

In this Category, we wished to include exhibits from children 15 years and under who have been inspired to take up welded art as a hobby and who are forming the next generation of up-and-coming young artists. In this 2021 Digital Collection we have two prime examples. Thomas Huisman is a young 10 year old Australian welder from Brisbane who began his welding at the age of eight in early 2019, when he saw his dad welding. At just thirteen years old, Hunter Feicht is a young blacksmith/metalsmith/welder from the US who has loved blacksmithing since he first saw it as a young boy. As soon as he was big enough to swing a hammer he began begging for a forge and anvil. Both young artists have a natural ability and a passion for welding, and both show a great eye for detail which enables them to make a success of exhibits “Little Ripper” and “Living Steel” . Besides a great future in welded art, with their interest and passion, they could carve out exciting careers in the welding field.
