Tickets will soon be available for the June ABYA Spring Dinner Dance to be held at North Channel Yacht Club. For dinner tickets and dockage information please contact P/C Bill Calihan or ABYA Vice Commodore Leslie Leitch. Their contact information can be found in the NCYC Roster or Beacon. The next ABYA General Membership meeting is May 3 rd , 2021 at AMVETS Post 121 in St. Clair Shores hosted by Y-Knots. Reservations are due by April 28 th . Dinner provided for $10. Contact me for menu and reservation by April 28 th . Other ABYA Events:  Detroit Power Squadron will hold its annual event, A one-day trip to Put-In-Bay, June 25 th for $92. This includes the Jet Express ride to the island. Watch for further information or contact me if interested.  Anchor Bay Power Squadron is offering free boat inspections. Algonac Lions Club is requesting to do a steak dinner at NCYC. Proceeds will go to Leader Dogs of the Blind in Rochester on Wednesday August 11 th , 2021. We will allow them to have a gun raffle, but we will not allow fire arms on the island. The weekday OD Doug and Christa Betts approved. Clubhouse Bill Burkhardt The sump pump problem has been figured out. There was a cracked pipe in the wall, that pipe has been removed and replaced, an access panel has been installed and the plan is to heat tape that pipe next winter to avoid freezing. Bill is working on a to do list for the coming years to open the clubhouse. The water will be turned on the first elite brigade with help from V/C Dale Hall and Scott Greenfelder.
