First Mates Mention

Happy Fall!

It’s always sad to say goodbye to summer, but fall in Michigan is nothing less than spectacular. The clubhouse and island have been readied for her winter slumber thanks to all of the members who came and helped the last two weekends. First Mates are supporting “Friends of Fosters” this Christmas. If you can assist in supporting this project please purchase a new toy, outfit or gift card to donate. Please bring your unwrapped gift to the First Mates Christmas Party or contact a member of the First Mates board to make arrangements to pick up your donation. Any member that would like to make a donation can mail a check made out to NCYC First Mates, to Ellen Alcazar, 10499 Otter Drive, South Lyon, MI 48178 and Ellen will purchase a gift or gift card on your behalf. The First Mates Christmas party is only 8 weeks away! Tickets are $36. Please send your reservations to Christa Betts, 7202 Flamingo, Clay, MI 48001. You can also text or call Christa at 586-216-2042. Anyone able to donate an item for our Christmas raffle, please bring it with you to the party. This event is always great fun and the last First Mates event of the year! Please feel free to bring a guest. If you know a NYCY member who is not a member of the First Mates, please encourage them to attend and join us! SAVE THE DATE  First Mates Christmas Party, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 . This year’s party will be help at DaFrancesco’s Ristorante & Bar in Shelby Township.
