From The Flag It is hard to believe we are only days from our September General Membership Meeting and the kids are headed back to school. North Channel Yacht Club has been vibrant with activities and the number of members on the island continues to be very strong for the year. Thanks to all the members and guests that have participated in all the great activities this year. The chair people did an outstanding job, and they were all very successful. We still have a lot more activities to come in September with Kid’s Campout, Smoke on the Water, Commodore’s golf outing and the Polish dinner. Make sure to come out and attend, you don’t want to miss any of the fun. I would like to thank our Fleet Capitan’s, Shelly and Gary Schroka for three great rendezvous. We had some rough weather, but it didn’t stop us from having a great time and great camaraderie. We would like to thank all the OD’s and weekday managers for stepping up and doing an outstanding job. It is a very large commitment to keep our great club going and making all our visitors feeling welcome. A special thanks to the Nominating Committee for putting together a very strong slate of candidates for the 2024 Board of Directors and Flag. The Board and Flag would like to thank all the candidates that have stepped forward for the election on Haul Out weekend and looking forward to the results on October 7 th .
