ABYA notes from JYC meeting
The guest speaker at the general membership meeting was Abby Lane from the Clinton River
Watershed. She did a beautiful presentation on what the Clinton River Watershed was about. This
includes facts like, the clean-up of 760 square miles of river, and river water shed which is covered by
the Association. One of the largest problems is storm drain pollution. Please be careful what goes down
the road gutters and drains as they all end up in the river and Lake St Clair in the end.

We had a special guest speaker Bill Callahan, Past ABYA Commodore; he presented what was going on
with The Sea Cadets from The Pride of Michigan.
Captain Luke has had a new documentary video made on Odyssey efforts. It will air on PBS on 4/11 at
7:30 and again 4/25 at 3:30.
Upcoming Events
The Midland Spring Rendezvous is coming up in less than two weeks. There are still rooms available,
please call Jill Romatz at 586-265-7793 for reservations.
