MOTION: Moved by Dale Hall and seconded by Debbie Siwek to approve the Financial Report. Motion Carried ABYA Report P/C Randy Pagel Both Clinton River Boat Club and Jefferson Beach Yacht Club, have been removed from the ABYA Membership. due to lack of payment of due’s and no response to Notice of the same. ABYA Vice Commodore Patricia Mok introduced guest speaker, Web Master, Dan Harkey. Dan returned to our March meeting to answer questions and give a demonstration on how the updated and improved web site works. The Spring Rendezvous held in Midland Michigan is less than a week away. There are still rooms available. Information on the Spring Dinner dance, to be held at North Channel Yacht Club May 31 thru June 2will be available at the April membership meeting. Past Commodore Ed Bolsendahl reported that the ABYA information booth at the Detroit Boat Show was a success once again. Many of the ABYA member clubs information was handed out to the public. There was a lot of interest shown in the ABYA and the member clubs. Next month’s meeting will be held at North Star Sail Club co-hosted by Sand Point Yacht Club April 1 st . Winter dress, Blue blazer, white shirt, black tie and gray slacks. Dinner menu to follow, check website. Correspondence All Commodore Ian Blackburn read an e mail from ABYA vice Commodore requesting wells for their spring dinner dance May 31 – June 2. They requested that we advise the number of wells that we will allow and at what price.

Motion : Moved by P/C Randy Pagel and seconded by V/C Bill Calihan to allow 40 wells for the ABYA spring dinner dance and that ABYA should let us know 1 week in advance of the event the number of wells that will be needed. Motion Carried.

Motion: Moved by Debbie Siwek and seconded by Brian Fringer that boats arriving Friday night will pay $2.00 per foot and receive Sat night free but only if they show up Friday night. The end result for boats arriving Friday evening will be to only pay for 1 night of dockage. Motion Carried.

Commodore Ian Blackburn read a request from Interlakes yachting association requesting a donation per member from NCYC for a fund raiser. No motion was raised for the request.

CURRENT BUSINESS Activities –

Tom Huntley Activities director Tom Huntley and P/C Randy Pagel advised that Selfridge Air Force Base was requesting to host a luncheon at NCYC for their Community Council on August 20.
