Harbor & Grounds

Good day to you all from Harbor & Grounds.

We are down to the last week to get our little gem of an Island ready for opening weekend and the official start of our boat season.

Thanks to all your help, all systems will be functioning, and we will turn to maintenance i.e. paint, cleaning, staining, and then onto improvements, followed by new initiatives. We have developed a new fastening process for the swim ladders. This will eliminate the safety risk with lag bolts coming loose or stripping out as well as making it easier to install/remove.

We have new signage for the main land as well as island being made to complete all the updates and commonality of appearance we started last year.

Any help with the fire pit brick pavers initiative would be appreciated.

Once we get past Memorial weekend, the Harbor & Grounds Crew will be ready to support the members with any ideas, needs or concerns so we encourage you to collect your thoughts and share when you see one of the H&G crew.

As always, your opinion matters and we are building a H&G bench to better support our members.

Membership Shelley Sweier N.C.Y.C. membership cards are in, and I've started passing those out along with the Yachting Club of America cards. -We have a junior member that recently moved and has resigned from the club. Katy Kuhr. Shelley Sweier made a motion to accept the resignation of Katy Kuhr. Second: P/C Rick Romatz. Motion Carried -Per bylaw, current membership info has been posted in hallway at the Club with changes effective for 2025.
