A RTICLE IV: O FFICERS

Section I:

The Officers of this organization shall be: President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Corresponding Secretary.

Section II:

The newly elected officers shall be installed and continue in office until the next election or appointment of their successor. The Office of President and Vice President shall serve a term of 1 year. Nominee for the office of Vice President shall be a member of First Mateswho has served on the current or past Board of Directors for at least one year. The nominee must regularly attend meetings and participate in First Mates activities. The Vice President shall traditionally move up to the office of President the following year. The Office of Treasurer elected will serve for two years. The office of Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary elected will serve for 1 year, with the option to continue serving 1 more year without re election, upon approval by the First Mates Board of Directors. No member shall hold more than one office, elected or appointed, at any one time. No Officer, Director or Appointee of the First Mates Club shall serve simultaneously as an Officer or Director of the North Channel Yacht Club.
