sympathy card in the event of the passing of an immediate family member. Shall co-ordinate with NCYC Secretary and the Commodore to send a flower arrangement, cookie bouquet, fruit baskets, memorial or other item appropriate to the circumstances, to any NCYC Member in the event of:

i. a hospital stay,

ii. death of spouse, significant other or child.

Each year, the Flag Officers will communicate to the First Mates Corresponding Secretary the maximum spending limit for each occurrence. NCYC will pay for these expenses. The First Mates will contribute each year to NCYC up to their set budget toward the “Flower Expense”. The Corresponding Secretary will communicate to the First Mates Treasurer prior to December 31 st of the year, the amount owing to NCYC.

Section VIII:

PAST PRESIDENT

A.

Shall serve on the Board of Directors on e year with voting privileges.

B.

Shall advise and counsel the President as needed.

A RTICLE XI: C OMMITTEES

Section I:

After election results are announced, the President shall appoint Directors of standing committees: MEMBERSHIP, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES and PUBLICITY and BOATIQUE. These individuals shall be voting members of the Board. Other committees shall be appointed by the President or the Board of Directors as needed.
