Section VI: NOMINATING COMMITTEE

A.

A chairperson shall be appointed by the Board of Directors at least (6) weeks prior to the General Membership meeting held in conjunction with NCYC Fitting Out Weekend. Shall consist of four (4) members, including a Chairperson. Officers and Directors shall not serve on the Nominating Committee. The composition of the Nominating Committee shall be announced to the membership via the July issue (or earlier) of the Beacon (the NCYC monthly newsletter).

A RTICLE XII: N OMINATIONS AND E LECTIONS

Section I:

Election procedures shall be the charge of the Nominating Committee.

Section II:

At the General Membership Meeting held in conjunction with Labor Day events, the Nominating Committee Chairperson shall: Accept nominations from the floor, providing the nominee is willing to accept the nomination. Present its slate of nominees, having obtained the consent of the nominees to have their names submitted. The slate shall consist of no more than three (3) candidates for each office. The Chairperson of the Nominating Committee shall require nominees for each office to stand and be recognized. 196
