Commodore’s Comments: PC Rick Romatz I just want to say we are having a hell of a ride through the NCYC 2024 Boating season.

Thank You to our Fleet Captains Shelly and Gary Schroka, Activities Director Philip Maniaci and the Activities chair people for putting together the awesome Rendezvous and Activities and Thank You to our membership for the great participation to make these events successful. But it’s not over yet we have a full line of great events coming up in September Starting an open weekend September 6-8 for our members to come out and just enjoy our island. Smoke on the Water Rib and Chili Competition Sept. 14 we are still looking for those Star Rib Chefs if you are interested in some extra cash and possibly getting your name on the trophy, also we have some spots open for the chili competition if you’re interested, this event has become a great tradition for NCYC a full day of Camaraderie trying the Chefs appetizers and enjoying afternoon entertainment on the patio and evening in the clubhouse. Commodores Golf Outing Sept. 21 at Golden Hawk Golf Course with dinner and prizes back at NCYC this is always a great event if you’re interested, please contact Christa Betts for details. NCYC Potluck Dinner is Sept. 28. This was always a great event for many years that we are trying to bring back this year, our members all pitch in with their favorite dishes and entrees it is another great day of Camaraderie and evening entertainment for our members, watch for details future Fanouts and FB posts. Our closing weekend October 5 is Haul Out weekend Halloween party with best dressed costume prizes and a great dinner and evening entertainment by Way Back Machine Band with tunes from the 60,70,80’s watch for details by Fanout and FB. Thank You to our entire Board of Directors who continue to show the commitment to teamwork, to work together to get the job done. It is truly an honor and pleasure to work with such a great group of ladies and gentlemen it makes my job much easier. Thank You All!
