September Beacon

A Message from Chaplain Mark Javery

Since our last Beacon was published Director Tom Lisowski had a heart procedure and is home recovering. Also, John (Rocky) Richards is home recovering from knee replacement. Both procedures reportedly went well but do keep them in your thoughts and prayers for speedy recoveries. Where has summer gone, maple trees are turning red already, and nights have a feel of autumn. Vacations and most of our boating is now sweet memories. The school year has resumed and many families will be pulled in different directions. For many, less time for rest and relaxation.

Although our Lord didn’t take “vacations” he did take time to rest and enjoy fellowship with friends.

If fall is a time that you get busier make sure you set aside time for yourself and time to have communion with Christ. Take time to watch the changing colors of God’s creation and thank Him for his handiwork.

After all Jesus came not only to save the world from our sins but to lift our daily burdens and give rest to our weary souls.
