important for women to support women.” Despite its similarities to the film version, the musical has undoubtedly grown up for the stage, with new songs written especially for the stage production and plenty of jokes adults will enjoy. Audiences have been blown away by the sumptuous costumes, all handmade in Sydney, decadent sets, big Broadway dance numbers and of course the beautiful songs. Jemma, who spent her childhood on the Central Coast, says it’s a big responsibility to play such an iconic Disney princess, and one she takes very seriously. “Obviously you can’t help but be a bit nervous, especially singing songs that are well known, but it’s both a challenge and a privilege. I’m incredibly proud to be entrusted with bringing Elsa to life for those that love her already.” Joining Jemma on stage is relative newcomer Courtney Monsma as Princess Anna, Matt Lee as Olaf, ThomasMcGuane as Hans, Sean Sinclair as Kristoff, Aljin Abella as Weselton and sharing the role of Sven, Jonathan MacMillan and Lochie McIntrye.
Like most children, Central Coast-born Jemma Rix once dreamed of becoming a Disney Princess; something that has become a reality for the musical theatre performer whose newest role is Queen Elsa in hit musical Frozen, now currently playing at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre. Rix, who is no stranger to starring in smash- hit musicals, having graced the stage as green-skinned Elphaba in Wicked, was recently crowned Queen Elsa in the Australian musical production of Frozen. The musical-adaptation is mostly synonymous with the plot of the 2013 film of the same name, which follows sisters Anna and Elsa who have grown up distant due to Elsa’s inability to control her magical powers. When an argument ultimately exposes Elsa’s powers and freezes the Kingdom, it comes down to true sisterly love to save the day. “Frozen is a story about friendship, hope and sisterhood between Princesses Anna and Elsa,” explains Rix. “What I love most about this story is that it’s a celebration of your sister or perhaps your best friend. It reminds us that it’s

Salmon, Leek and Dill Frittata
METHOD 1.Preheat oven to 190°C. Heat a large, non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Spray lightly with oil. Add leeks and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until soft. Spoon into a lightly greased, 6-cup capacity ovenproof pie dish. 2. Break salmon into large chunks and arrange over leeks. Whisk eggs, dill and salt and pepper together in a bowl. Pour over salmon and leeks. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and set in the centre. 3. Cut frittata into wedges. Serve with salad.

2 medium leeks, trimmed, halved, washed, sliced
415g can red salmon in springwater, drained, bones removed 8 eggs 2 tablespoons dill sprigs, finely chopped
