Central Coast Home & Lifestyle Autumn 2025
Top surfing spots on the coast 1. Avoca Beach is one of the most popular and well-known surf breaks on the Central Coast with good reason, offering a variety of surfing conditions. Boasting a perfect point break and multiple beach break options to choose from this beach offers plenty of opportunity to enhance your surfing ability. 2. Copacabana Beach is protected from the area’s northeasterly winds this surfing spot offers a world-class point break for advanced surfers while also providing the perfect location to challenge your surfing skills and grow as a surfer. L eading Central Coast Obstetrics and Gynaecology Practice, Intuition Private has today announced the introduction of two new paediatricians, as part of its growing practice. Intuition Private is expanding its services to provide specialist paediatric care for families on the Central Coast. The introduction of two highly experienced paediatricians, Dr Shriniwas Chinta and Dr Umesh Mishra, will ensure local families have greater access to expert care for babies and young children. Dr Chinta is a neonatologist and general paediatrician with over 20 years of experience in newborn and paediatric care across Australia and internationally. He has a special interest in infant growth and development, premature infant care, nutrition, reflux, colic, sleep, and settling concerns. Dr Mishra brings additional expertise in general paediatrics, including newborn health and early childhood development.
5. Soldiers Beach is just South of the historic Norah Head lighthouse, a locals favourite surfing spot. Loved for its pristine white sand, clear water and reliable waves, which draw in the board riders year-round. 6. Pelican Beach is surrounded by Wyrrabalong National Park, Pelican Beach – or ‘Pelos’ as locals call it – is accessed via the rather unassuming Pelican Beach Road off Wilfred Barrett Drive. This is true surfing nirvana for experienced board riders and, due to its relative isolation, is usually uncrowded. 7. Shelly Beach stretching an impressive 1.5 kilometres, Shelly Beach is a great all-rounder beach. It attracts surfers of all abilities for its consistent beach break.
3. Bouddi National Park is more off the beaten track with good breaks between Macmasters Beach and Box Head. Surfers make the long walk from the car park to surf one of the least crowded beach breaks in the region. Tallow Beach is known for perfect long waves, and the waves at Box Head can go forever if the various sections link up. Extremely dependent on the quality of the sandbar, the break's also very tidal so in big south swells you'll need to be super fit to handle long paddles against strong currents. 4. Forresters Beach faces southeast and boasts some of the most impressive reef breaks in Australia. The main central reef is about 600 metres offshore. Locally known as 'Forries'.
