Guards at The Taj – Sep 10 | Drama | Black Comedy At the grand opening of the Taj Mahal, The Emperor decrees that nothing more beautiful shall ever be built again. To ensure this, he orders two imperial guards to perform a horrendous task. An absurdist 'odd couple esque' drama about friendship and betrayal. Beetle – Sep 13 & 14 | Kids This charming, nostalgic, and uniquely Australian show invites children and families to join an adventure, encountering larger than life Beetles, Stick Insects, and other bush critters as they embark on a quest to find the now elusive Christmas Beetle. Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows – Sep 25 | Music The Black Sorrows are one of Australia’s most prolific and enduringly popular bands. Fronted by Joe Camilleri they are renowned for their high energy live shows, musicianship and infectious, roots-soaked blues rock. Rogue Traders - Oct 03 | Music Lead vocalist Natalie Bassthingthwaighte and Rogue Traders have sold over 1 million records worldwide and their singles have topped music charts internationally. Experience a festival act of the highest calibre close to home in an intimate 500-seat setting. Gina Chick Book Launch (co-presented with Words on the Waves) – Oct 04 | Talk Join Alone Australia Season 1 winner for the release of her book We Are The Stars which tells her remarkable story, the formative moments of her life and the lessons that shaped her. Dave Hughes – Oct 12 | Comedy Naturally charming and unmistakably Australian, Dave Hughes is one of this country’s sharpest comedic minds. Turning everyday foibles into rich and hilarious routines, Hughesy was born to do stand up. Past The Shallows – Nov 01 | Teen Drama Based on the novel by Favel Parrett, this drama explores brotherhood, family secrets, and contemporary masculinity. With three powerhouse young actors, this is a must see for secondary school aged kids. Momenta by Sydney Dance Company - Nov 03 | Dance From the Artistic Director, Rafael Bonachela comes his signature choreographic style, evocative soundscapes, impressive set design and striking lighting. With music ranging from synth to viola to strong percussion the 17 dancers match in range from lyrical to ballet to primal movements.
