Get Serious about Splashbacks
Y ou’ve decided on an eye- catching splashback in your kitchen renovation, but do you know what questions to ask? Splashbacks are easy to care for and long-lasting. They can transform walls in wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms and laundries and go on over tiles, gyprock, bricks and tired paint. But choose carefully. No two houses or families are the same and it’s important to get the best solution to your specific situation. Speak to a specialist rather than taking an off-the-shelf product and hoping for the best. • ACRYLIC, GLASS or Laminex METALINE? An expert will be able to tell you what you need and why. • If the splashback is for your kitchen, what kind of stove do you own? Gas, electric, standalone, induction …. Your splashback will depend on this key question. • Where is the product made and in what conditions? Some splashbacks are made from material that contains more impurities, is thinner or less heat resistant.
• How wide is the choice of colours? Don’t be limited to a restricted palette. • Custom-fit or standard sizes? You don’t want to have joins all over the walls because the sheets are not cut to the right size. A specialist knows how to measure accurately, produce a precise template and importantly how to cut properly. • Professionally installed? DIY is fine for some things but don’t take chances with your splashback? OzzieSplash is the splashback specialist on the Central Coast, family-owned and operated. Personal service, unmatched quality and expert knowledge offering you tips, ideas and options for your kitchen, bathroom or laundry renovation.
