Note: The app does not record data when using the built-in GPS simulator (described in the next section). However, it will record “flights” if FlyQ is sent simulated data from X- Plane, Microsoft Flight Simulator, or Prepar3D.

The top of the details portion (right side) has controls for a manual Start or Stop , depending on whether a recording is in progress or not, as well as an indication of recording status. In the example above, Stop is displayed rather than Start because a recording is in-progress. Note: If automatic recording is enabled, tapping the Stop button will stop recording until the app believes you have landed. At that point, taking off again will start a new track. If automatic recording is disabled, the app will start and stop recording solely based on tapping the Start and Stop buttons.

Reviewing and Sharing Previous Flights

FlyQ lists previous flights below the Start/Stop area. Flick the list up and down to see more flights. For each flight, you’ll see a graphical representation of the track, statistics of the flight, areas to name and add comments about the flight, a Play button (blue triangle) to playback the flight from within FlyQ EFB, and an Action button (box with an arrow coming out the top) to delete the track or send it to other apps or social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

The app names each flight based on when the flight starts (e.g. Morning Flight 01/24/2018 ) and attempts to calculate the takeoff and landing airports (the From and
