Beware of treacherous currents: beaches have no lifeguard supervision. It can be very dangerous to go swimming on windy days even if you are a good swimmer. The beaches identified by this symbol are known for their powerful sea currents and require great caution from swimmers. When you are swimming, it is wise to find a landmark on the beach in order to notice how the sea moves you. If you get caught in a current, swim parallel to the shore to get out of it.
