General Manager’s Message

Dear Members, I hope you are enjoying your summer at the Club.

The Member Engagement Committee has worked hard on a family program led by member, Bobby Lake. The program is called Stone Families Unite. Members with children 12 and under meet for dinner the first and third Saturday of the month. The Club provides activities for the children and parents enjoy some adult time. The schedule may be adjusted for the summer, but if you are interested in receiving email information for each gathering please let us know by contacting the reception desk at reception@greystonecc.com and you will be included in all emails. The Regions Tradition was a tremendous success again this year and keeps improving each year we host the event. This is attributed to the PGA, Regions, Sponsors, Bruno Event Team, Members, Staff and Volunteers. We look forward to growing the interest and entire event each year, as well as improving the member experience year by year. I will send out a full financial summary of the event once the final accounting is done by the Tour and we receive payment. Our Sunday Brunch attendance has declined in June due to summer family activities. We will take a break from the Sunday Buffet Brunch from July 1 through September 2. During that time we will offer an a la carte brunch menu in the Cellar from 10:30AM-2PM each Sunday. The buffet brunch will return on Sunday, September 9. I hope you join us for some wonderful brunch items prepared to order in Cellar 91 on Sundays this summer. In early July, we will be unveiling a new lunch and dinner menu in Cellar 91 for your enjoyment. Two other programs discussed and coming to fruition in July are Pizza Delivery and Lawn Care Spray Program. Separate emails will be sent on both of those services as they progress. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the summer at the Club. I look forward to seeing you on campus and please let me know if you need anything to improve your experience. Best regards, Dave Porter General Manager

Greystone University kicks off this month with our first group of 25 students (employees) and by August a second group of students will begin their journey. There are four classes and each class will meet six times for 90 minutes. Once these 50 students finish the 24-week program we will have a full day service seminar by Ritz Carlton. Upon completion, we will host a graduation ceremony and we will provide each student with a monetary bonus based on the grades achieved and a new engraved nametag to proudly show their compliment. At that point we will begin another group of 50 employees to start the process. The goal of the program is to have employees fully engaged in our culture, increased performance and commitment to the Club, improved service levels in all departments and improved employee retention.

We have implemented a change to Acoustic Fridays by moving the music to 7pm-11pm, keeping our pizza menu available until 11:30PM and bar open until 12AM. I hope you take advantage of enjoying this fun atmosphere each Friday. As Mr. Milam mentioned, we will begin Chef’s Corner the first week of July, where Chef will prepare fresh packaged meals & snacks for your convenience.
