The Stone Newsletter: Oct. - Dec. 2020

GENERAL MANAGER'S MESSAGE

Dear Members, I hope this newsletter finds you well. The staff is excited about a great fall season ahead. We have some amazing events for you and your family to enjoy. Please take some time to check out the calendar and all of the excellent sports programming. One of our great accomplishments of 2020 has been opening three new food and beverage concepts at Greystone. Cellar 91 was rebranded as

family casual with contemporary southern cuisine, while featuring lots of fun with our new oyster bar, live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, ice cream bar for dessert and continuing Wine Down Wednesdays. Amici, our Italian white tablecloth restaurant, is open four nights per week at Legacy and features a new menu every other week by authentic Italian Chef Ciro Mancini. The Café is our boutique coffee shop with specialty coffee drinks and homemade pastries. You cannot sit at Starbucks, but if you could, you would be looking at the parking lot. At the Greystone Café you can overlook the golf course and beautiful scenery. The Café welcomes you to stop in, call ahead to order, relax & enjoy time with friends, or get some work done. It is open 6am-3pm every day. We are approximately 50% complete with the refurbishment project on the Tennis Courts. The surface is being replaced, relined, drainage repaired, fences repaired, new sprinkler heads put in, and new wind screens installed. This project is scheduled for completion by the end of October. Now that the last aerification has been completed for 2020, both courses will be in equally great condition for the next few months. Jason has recently completed a good amount of tree removal of dead and severely declining trees adjacent to playing areas. Thanks to the members who were able to participate in the recent facilities planning focus groups with Chambers USA. The discussions were very productive and will help Chambers shape a club-wide survey regarding the long-term facilities planning for Greystone. Your participation in the survey will be vital and appreciated. As we continue to work through the challenges of COVID-19, please take time to assist us with wearing a mask inside buildings, ensuring you feel well when coming to the Club, frequent hand washing, and making reservations for dinner. It is so important during these challenging times that we know in advance for staffing properly. The staff requirements for service during COVID-19 require many more steps to ensure your safety. Thank you for your effort in making the experience safer and more enjoyable for you and your fellow members. I look forward to seeing you around the Club during this exciting time of year. Best Regards, Dave Porter General Manager
