CAPITAL ASSET AND DEBT ADMINISTRATION Capital Assets
The City’s investment in capital assets for its governmental and business type activities as of December 31, 2022, amounts to $288,425,180 (net of accumulated depreciation and accumulated amortization). This investment in capital assets includes land, buildings and systems, improvement, machinery and equipment, park facilities, roads, highways and bridges and leased equipment. Capital Assets

Major capital assets events during the current year included the following:
Developer contributed assets of streets, sanitary sewer and storm sewer at Windermere South 6th, Valley Crest Second, Summerland Place Second, Jefferson Court, Canterbury Crossing Second, and River bluffs. L-16 Sanitary Sewer Lift Station rehabilitation and the West End Lift Station Maras/Hanson street and utility improvements, Weston Court and Greenwood Court street improvements, 12th Avenue West street improvements, 169 pedestrian bridge, CSAH 83 trail, Gorman street reconstruction, and Riverbluffs improvements and street lighting. Quarry Lake Park bathrooms, Shakopee skate park improvement and Winderemere neighborhood park improvements and playground, prairie bend playground. Vehicle and equipment replacements in police, streets, park, sewer and storm.
