As part of the Parks Master Plan, it was identified to give additional consideration for a larger playground at this location - trails, shelter, with the idea of creating a bigger more attractive playground with additional focus on trail connections throughout the city.

Justification 25 year replacement cycle evaluated for parts availability and safety guidelines.
