Description Printer Replacements are required after the life expectancy has been exceeded. The life cycle of a printer is typically 5-8 years depending on volume of use and availability of replacement parts. New technology and functions provide additional services staff can leverage for efficiency of work. Justification Printing, faxing, and copying are essential staff functions. Scheduled replacement of outdated machines with a history of functional issues are critical to the efficiency of staff. Time to repair and availability of replacement parts are key to the usefulness of any device. Shortening the time to repair limits this impact with newer models.
