YOUTH PROGRAMS

BABYSITTERS TRAINING Learn the responsibilities of babysitting through this American Red Cross class. This class will teach leadership skills, supervision techniques, safety, emergency and first aid care, personal safety, feeding infants and young children along with the business aspect of babysitting. Participants will need to bring a bag lunch. Classes will be socially distanced. Each participant will have his or her own table and supplies. Community Center, 1255 Fuller St. S. MEA BREAK PROGRAMMING Enjoy full-day programs over MEA Break! Each day will include activities like gym games, swimming and outdoor play, as well as a different special event. This is a great opportunity to make some fun fall memories and enjoy the outdoors with friends. Horses will be chosen based on skill level. All riders must be 50” tall and be able to mount a horse unassisted. Be sure to dress appropriately and wear closed toed shoes or boots and bring sunscreen and bug spray. Bring your bike and we’ll explore some of Shakopee’s awesome parks and trails. We’ll make stops along the way to check out some features and play on the playgrounds. DISC GOLF LESSON Learn the basics of what it takes to play disc golf while honing your skills in distance throws and putting. SPIKEBALL CLINICS Be a part of the Spikeball craze and have a blast learning this fun game. Instructors will go over rules and different types of games that can be played.
