2018 is shaping up to be just as fun and eventful as 2017. Mark your calendars for the Easter Egg Hunt and Candy Grab, March 24; Wheelies Bike Event, June 7; Big Fun Day, June 16; Annual Summer Carnival, Aug. 3; and the Pop- Up Splash Pads, July 20 and Aug. 10. We’re also excited about some new opportunities this summer including a Youth Safety Camp, family bike rides, outdoor programs in partnership with Three Rivers Park District and several fun and informative events in our Senior Lounge. This spring, the Ice Arena will have artificial turf installed on Rink 2. From March 12–May 6 the new turf will offer opportunities for kids and adults to get an early start on the spring sports season. In addition, the Ice Arena will be busy with hockey tournaments, figure skating, open skating and open hockey. Come and cool off with us this summer! Can you believe SandVenture Aquatic Park turns 50 years old? Don’t miss out on experiencing one of Shakopee’s most unique features. Plan a trip and enjoy a special time at a great summer hangout. Whether it’s swimming, working out, playing or enjoying music and fun with family, Shakopee Parks and Recreation has something for everyone! We cannot wait to see you!
