Ṡ AKPE TI LOUNGE The Ṡ akpe ti Lounge is open to all Shakopee seniors. A space to call your own, you will want to come and enjoy it! This area will be open during regular Community Center hours and will be a warm and welcoming place to relax, socialize with peers and meet new neighbors. In addition to regular programming we’ll have coffee available each day, playing cards, games, puzzles, books and more for everyone to enjoy – and of course, it’s all free! No membership required!

May is older American’s Month - In April 1963, President John F. Kennedy and members of the National Council of Senior Citizens designated May as “Senior Citizens Month,” the prelude to “Older Americans Month. The theme for Older American’s Month 2018 is ‘Engage at Every Age’ – you are never too old (or young) to take part in activities that can enrich your physical, mental and emotional well-being. Participate in one or many of the Shakopee Older Active Adult Programs!
