TRIPS AND TOURS Join the fun and socializing that is part of going on a trip or tour with us. All trips include transportation and admission and depart from the Community Center, 1255 Fuller St. S.

FAGEN FIGHTERS MUSEUM & BONGARDS CREAMERY Board a coach bus as we venture to western Minnesota and begin our venture and visit a living memorial to one of the most critical times in our nation’s history: WorldWar II. The Fagen Fighters WWII Museum is a showcase of the iconic aircraft and ground equipment in the epic conflict. It is a tribute to the men and women of the Greatest Generation. Optional donations are accepted at the door. After the tour we will stop in Olivia at the Chatterbox Café for lunch. Choose your meal choice when you register. As we head back home we will visit Bongard’s Cheese Retail Store where you can explore a full, fresh selection of your favorite cheeses, butter, specialty food and souvenirs! Registration deadline: Thursday, April 26 FUN IN FARIBAULT! We are headed SOUTH to visit the Faribault Woolen Mill, a living testament to American craftsmanship. Founded in 1865, Faribault woolens are renowned for their comfort and quality. Our tour will consist of showing most of the 22 steps that is required to make a blanket at the mill; the picking house, where the raw wool is brought in to the mill and seeing our oldest carding machine from 1904. There will be time to shop the flagship store for Mill classics, gifts and decor. Then off to Bernie's Grill for lunch. Meal choice at registration. After lunch there will be time to explore downtown Faribault to visit the Mercantile store used in Grumpy Old Men movie, a photo opportunity by the historic ‘Tilt-a-Whirl’ shop, the Cheese Cave store and more. MN STATE CAPITOL Take a guided tour of the restoration efforts up close with Rep. Bob Loonan. Get an overview of Capitol’s history, explore decorative art, murals and paintings restored to original 1905 patterns and colors; exposed limestone foundation walls, new public spaces in basement; stories about the Capitol's history, art, architecture and the chambers where government decisions are made. This is the second-largest self-supported marble dome in the world. You will enjoy hearing some of the behind the scene stories told by Rep. Loonan and get to see rooms that most visitors do not get to see. Cost includes luxury coach bus transportation, lunch (TBD) and a few other goodies you’re sure to love. 'DRINKING HABITS' DAYTRIPPERS THEATRE

All heaven is about to break loose at the Sisters of Perpetual sewing. Just don't tell that to their teetotalling Mother Superior. For years Sister Philamena and Sister Augusta have been making grape juice for the poor and wine to earn money to keep the convent afloat. When the wine unexpectedly wins a $500,000 prize local reporters Paul and Sally go undercover as a nun and priest to investigate. Their presence spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. The Sisters keep the audience in stitches as the run their secret wine-making industry. Cost includes lunch.
