SHAKOPEE BOYS BASKETBALL CAMPS

Shakopee Boys Basketball camps are under the direction of the Boys Basketball Association. Camp is coordinated by Shakopee Saber Coach Jon Miller. All campers will receive a Shakopee Basketball Camp T-Shirt. Include T-shirt size on registration form.

Registration Deadline: Friday before camp or when maximum registration has been reached. Grade levels for all camps are for 2017-18 school year. Checks payable to Shakopee Boys Basketball Assoc. GRADES 1 & 2 SKILLS CAMP Campers will learn the enjoyment of the game by working on the fundamentals of basketball. The focus will be on proper shooting, passing, and dribbling techniques. Maximum participants =45. Jackson Elementary, 1601 Lusitano St.

ADVANCED SKILLS AND TEAM CAMP Camp is designed for the players who are experienced on the court and want to take their game to the next level. This camp teaches players the individual skills and team concepts that are taught at the varsity level. The camp will use half and full court competitions for players to refine their skills reinforced in camp. Please note that due to limited space this summer, each session has a maximum of 60 participants. Register early! The first half of camp will consist of individual offensive moves, defensive positioning and pressure, and team offensive and defensive concepts. The second half of camp will consist of team play and competitions designed to utilize the skill set taught during the 1st half of camp. Shakopee High School, 100 17th Ave. W. GRADES 3-5 SKILLS CAMP Campers will work on both offensive and defensive skills. Players will learn about individual offensive moves to drive to the basket. Players will learn about effective post moves, the importance of correct footwork, and both offensive and defensive positioning.

INDIVIDUAL OFFENSIVE SKILLS CAMP The Individual Offensive Skills Camp will focus on developing a more well rounded offensive game. The emphasis of the camp will include proper shooting technique, scoring while closely being guarded, reading screens, effective passing, and ball handling. The players will play various forms of 1 on 1, 2 on 2, and 3 on 3 games to practice the skills at game speed. The Individual Offensive Skills Camp will be limited to 45 players per session so everyone can get maximum repetitions. Register early!
