K.I.D.S. (KIDS IN DEVELOPMENTAL SPORTS) Learn the basic rules and fundamentals for different sports. MINI-MITES FLOOR HOCKEY LEAGUE This fun league will give your little hockey fan a great workout while building character and teamwork skills. Players will meet once a week and face off in a friendly, fast- paced game of 3-on-3 floor hockey. On the last day, players will compete in a fun skills competition. All equipment will be supplied and each player will receive a team shirt. Participants should bring a water bottle, dress in active wear and wear tennis shoes that secure tightly – no open toed/heeled footwear. Community Center, 1255 Fuller St. S. SPRING MICRO-SOCCER Participants will learn the basic skills and fundamentals of the game of soccer while keeping the game simple. Teams will play 3-on-3 and utilize a smaller playing area. Teams will meet for an hour twice a week within the time frames listed below. Volunteer coaches are needed for the program. Check the YES box when you register! The program is intended to teach participants the game while utilizing the fundamental team unit of three as the basis for learning and having fun. Volunteer coaches are needed for the program. A coaches meeting will be held prior to the start of the season. Participants should bring their own size 4 ball and shin guards. LITTLE TIGERS MARTIAL ARTS CAMP An exciting class for children to learn basic self-defense and martial arts skills while developing coordination and flexibility with their peers. Basic kicks, punches, and strikes are taught through a variety of exercises and fun games. This program promotes focus, discipline, and respect – great personal tools to carry into the future.
