A change of scene, a change of time , a ripple of wind on our temples

lets us admire the distance diverse hues and shades

over the changing geography of the landscape and over the jet-streams of the atmosphere. But they are not unreal, these are our cities, firmly concrete made of concrete, of asphalt and streets: solid and hard as are their skies like the horizons at their end. Here again then time meets us wet with the last rain, caught by the sunrays... now we need no further explanations. along the coastal road, at the very end, summer clouds advance.

AN IDEAL FOR LIVING 1 Un cambiamento di tempo e di scena, / increspatura di vento alle tempie, / ci lascia ammirare la distanza / diversi e differenti toni sopra / le geografie del paesaggio cangianti / e sulle correnti dell’atmosfera. / Ma queste non sono irreali, queste / sono le nostre città, duramente / concrete di cemento, asfalto e strade: / solide e dure come i loro cieli, / come gli orizzonti alla fine. / Qui allora il tempo ci ritrova, / bagnati dall’ultima pioggia, sorpresi / dai raggi del sole … noi non abbiamo / nessun bisogno di altre spiegazioni. / lungo la strada litoranea in fondo / si fanno avanti le nuvole estive.
