we used to leaf through neckermann and quelle catalogues choosing our future husbands based on these pictures once she came round to my place to play and I wouldn’t let her go home I planted myself in front of the door and cried another time after a bad fight she slipped me half a banana under the desk and now all of a sudden she was gone I waited for nearly four months until in the letter-box there was a christmas card colourful and covered in glitter with a reindeer sleigh on it when I opened the card it started to sing jingle bells then I burst out crying because it was the most beautiful thing I had ever been given inside there was her neat handwriting in ink telling me about the presents she got and the school she was going to after a few weeks during the lunch break I discovered that I wasn’t the only one she had written to flori showed me a letter written in pencil very messy in which dagmar was telling her how she had kissed a boy called tim she was writing that for the time being she wouldn’t let him get
