Trafika Europe 11 - Swiss Delights
Frédéric Pajak
For Paul Nizon, books are a legacy he leaves behind him like a trail of gunpowder. They allow him to “crawl to the light.” In Walking towards Writing , he defines himself as a “teller”, that is, “someone who feels obligated to tell himself what he sees, learns, feels” or risk abandoning things, people, even his own life, to nothingness. Writing saves them from oblivion, from unreality, better: “Only reality that has become language is an acquired reality.” Reality, therefore, does not exist in itself; it needs words, written words, to have the right to exist.
