And for us, today’s chatterers, what reality remains in our choppy, constantly interrupted conversations? One’s word is no longer a guarantee of anything. Words spoken are lost in the general babble. Words must be said again, repeated over and over until they reach the quality of language. Perhaps we should stammer so that each syllable of each word is multiplied and increases the probability of fulfilling reality.
