Inga Ābele

Inga Abele was born in 1972 in Riga. She graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture, Theatre and TV in the Drama Department in 2001. She has published stories, poetry and plays widely. Translations of her books have been published in Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark,

France, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and the US. Her short story “Ants and Bumblebees” was included in the Best European Fiction anthology in 2010. The novel Roar is expected to be featured in the We. Latvia, the 20th Century series. This is its English- language debut.
