I wouldn’t know what to do. A Nazi grandfather, isn’t that something everyone has? Even for me it’s nothing new. I already have one. He died shortly after I was born. He wasn’t the product of a cultured bourgeois family. No one made a fuss or a secret about his Nazi past. I don’t wish to and won’t do anything with this knowledge, what would be the point? I have no interest in writing the hundred-thousandth Nazi grandfather or father story.
