Taras Antypovych

Ukrainian science fiction writer Taras Antypovych was born in Poltava in 1978. He received his degree in journalism from Ivan Franko Lviv National University and has worked as a journalist variously.

He is the author of four books, including Misery (2007) (which received a Book of the Year award for best prose debut); The Body and Fate: A Cycle of Stories (2008); The Mystery: A Sentimental Tale (2009), and Chronos: The History of an Invention (2011), now being translated into English under the title The Timestealers . This inventive novel has garnered considerable attention and success in Ukraine. The excerpts here represent its English-language debut.
