DAYS 1-7 LONDON TO THE SALTEE ISLANDS Fly to London, depart by train to Portsmouth, and embark. Visit the gardens at medieval Tresco Abbey on the Isles of Scilly, then voyage to Ireland’s Skellig Islands, one of Europe’s most impressive seabird citadels. At Waterford, visit the Waterford glassworks or the Mount Congreve estate. Search for puffins, murres, razorbills, gannets, and more at the privately owned Saltee Islands. DAYS 8-9 ISLE OF MAN / GIANT’S CAUSEWAY Take a ride through scenic villages on the Isle of Man Steam Railway, and at Portrush, visit the World Heritage

Site of Giant’s Causeway, a geological masterpiece descending to the sea. DAYS 10-11 INNER AND OUTER HEBRIDES, SCOTLAND Explore the uninhabited island of Staff and its most famous feature, Fingal’s Cave. On Iona, visit the cemetery of St. Oran, where numerous Scottish kings are buried, and the abandoned village of St. Kilda. DAYS 12-16 ORKNEY ISLANDS TO EDINBURGH The Orkneys hold Maes Howe, a chambered tomb dating from 3500 BC, with runic hieroglyphs left by visiting

12th century Vikings. In the Shetlands, take a walk through Lerwick, with its Norse heritage, and ride Zodiacs out to the Isle of Noss, where spectacular cliffs support a large and diverse seabird colony. Fair Isle is renowned for its handmade sweaters and is a famed haven for seabirds. Disembark and depart via Edinburgh on Day 16.
