Snorkel or dive nearly every day on this expedition of Western Australia! Explorations include Ningaloo Reef, home to whale sharks, dolphins, and humpback whales, Little Turtle Island, an important nesting site for flatback turtles, and Rowley Shoals Marine Park, a trio of remote coral atolls celebrated as having some of Australia’s best diving. DAYS 1-8 BROOME TO MURION ISLANDS Fly to Broome, embark, and cruise to Clerke Reef, whose outside walls offer outstanding snorkeling and diving opportunities.Watch for bottlenose dolphins at Dolphin Island and go ashore to view ancient Aboriginal petroglyphs. At the Murion Islands, dubbed the “Magical Murions,” enjoy superb snorkeling (giant manta rays by the thousands!). DAYS 9-15 NINGALOO REEF TO BROOME Search for whales, whale sharks, and myriad fish at Ningaloo Marine Park. Go ashore at Montebello for great birding, and explore underwater wonders at Claret Bay. Little Turtle Island, an important turtle nesting area, is home to green, hawksbill, loggerhead, and leatherback turtles, along with the threatened flatback turtle. Disembark in Broom, fly to Melbourne, and depart on Day 15.

DAYS 1-10 BROOME TO MITCHELL FALLS From Broome, cruise to Montgomery Reef, where you’ll view the amazing marine life exposed at low tide. A pure wilderness accessible only by air or boat, Prince Regent Nature Reserve is an incredible place to explore by Zodiac.Well-preserved Aboriginal paintings grace the walls of caves on Bigge Island, and you’ll take a helicopter to visit Mitchell Falls, whose waters carve their way through the Outback. DAYS 11-15 RAFT POINT TO BROOME Take a bush walk at Raft Point to learn the traditions of the Worrorra people, and explore secluded bays in the photogenic Buccaneer Archipelago. Visit the Horizontal Waterfalls at Talbot Bay (the falls actually reverse as the tide turns!), and enjoy beach walks in the Lacepede Islands before disembarking in Broome.
