Friends of Badger & Sugar River State Trails is a non-profit organization that partners with the Wisconsin DNR to enhance trail usage, and to educate trail users on the ecology and history of the trails. The group organizes trail rides and assists with projects like construction of trailhead shelters and informational kiosks. A WI DNR State Trail Pass permits bicyclists, cross-country skiers and inline skaters to use all designated state trails. Show your support for the Friends group by purchasing your trail pass online through their website. The Friends receive 20% of the proceeds. FriendsofBadgerStateTrail.org Stateline Trailblazers promote safe and responsible recreational snowmobiling. Volunteers assist with bridge re- decking and trail brushing in the off-season, mark the trails before winter, and groom trails during riding season. Green County would like to thank the farmers and landowners who allow trail access on their property. Visit the Stateline Trailblazer website to get trail reports, information on where to park, and where to stock up and refuel. StatelineTrailblazers.smartertrails.com
Green County ATV Club promotes fun and safe riding, along with respect for the trails and other
trail users. The club assists with trail grooming and maintenance, and offers safety courses. Cheese Country Trail stickers help to support work done by the club. (See the website for sticker outlets in Monroe.) Green County ATV Club is currently working with townships and communities to get additional street and road routes established in the county. Here’s the status as of print time: • Current townships open and marked are Decatur, Cadiz, and Clarno (see the pullout county road map at page 60 for township locations) • The city of Monroe will be opening the majority of streets. • Albany and Washington townships will open roads. • The club will be discussing the possibilities in the townships of Adams, Jordan, Spring Grove and Jefferson; for the latest updates visit the club’s Facebook page.
