WOOD SEATING SPECIFICATIONS

Frame: All upholstered (non-exposed) frame lumber shall be sound grade dried (7%), mixed hardwood for strength and dimensional stability. All exposed wood shall be milled from kiln dried hardwood, premium grade selected free of visual and structural defects, beechwood or alternate hardwood. Frame Assembly: All joints are mortise and tenoned, hydraulically assembled, then glued and pinned for extra strength. Corner blocks are fitted to leg and rail and attached with low root screws and glue. All exposed parts are machined round and are sanded to a smooth finish. Standard Wood Finish Process: All exposed hardwood frames are finish with a catalyzed lacquer using special environmentally friendly, water based process and offers superior resistance to abrasives and chemicals commonly found in a healthcare/hospitality environment. This finish is highly resistant to hot/ cold checking and successfully tested to temperature ranges between 120 deg. F to –5 deg. F. Foam: Upholstery and cushion foam shall be high resiliency (HR) of varying density and flame/fire retardant. All foam, at a minimum, shall meet California Technical Bulletin 117 (TB-117) for flame and fire retardancy. Foam cushioning is selected for comfort and durability. Inspection: The entire frame and upholstery shall be inspected during the Manufacturing process and again after final assembly. Tailoring shall be neat, trim and applied in a professional manner. All legs will be levelled on our automated levelling machine.
