REQUIREMENTS An applicant for an IR shall:

1. hold: - a PPL(A) including: the privileges to fly at night, if the IR privileges will be used at night; or - an ATPL in another category of aircraft, or - a CPL(A) 2. have completed at least 50 hours cross country flight time as PIC in aeroplanes, TMGs, helicopters or airships, of which at least 10 hours shall be in aeroplanes. 3. have a good knowledge of the English proficiency in accordance with the TEA Aviation English Language Proficiency Test. 4. hold a class 1 or class 2 medical certificate. 5. hold VFR night 6. hold TEA (Test of English for Aviation) language. The English language knowledge shall be such as to demonstrate at least a level 4 of DURATION Depending on the availability and the dedication of the candidate, the course can be completed in 12 months on average. THEORETICAL TRAINING 150 hours of classroom. Classroom may also be done by using “video conference”. The theoretical training may also take place by using the distance learning methodology. The theoretical training covers the following subjects:
