Basically, a radiator can give off heat in two different ways: as convection heat - i.e. via warm air, as radiant heat or from a mixture of both types of heat.

Operation of convection heat

24-26°

The convection heat heats the air, sets it in motion and creates different vertical zones of warmth. The result is temperature differences of a few degrees Celsius (floor cool - ceiling hot). In addition, the cold walls radiate coldly back into the room.

Operation of radiant heat

21°

The radiant heat continues long-wave and calmly into the room, creates a homogeneous heat zone and warms people, objects and walls. All these heated objects and walls in turn reflect the heat back. The insulating effect of the walls is increased.

HEAzs - the hybrid radiant heating

HEAzs emits most of the heat to the installation room via beneficial radiant heat. In addition, the heat is emitted through the unique rear ventilation concept of the HEAzs Back of the panel via gentle convection. The room air flows from below through the hybrid duct on the back of the panel. The heat is thus directed away from the rear wall and fed to the installation room and thus the efficiency is optimized. In addition, the gentle convection component enables one more flexible use of the HEAzs radiant heaters in the room.

* The illustration is only intended to show the different temperature zones and to express that these are less pronounced with radiant heat than with convection heat. The temperatures described are not generally applicable and only rough approximate values. The values can vary greatly depending on local conditions.
