War veteran Dan O'Hara, known as "Big Dan," decides to turn his home into a camp for boys and aspiring boxers after losing his wife to another man. He meets Dora Allen, rescues her from an unwanted suitor, and gives her shelter in the camp. Meanwhile, Dan learns that his estranged wife is in poor health and pays for her medical expenses. A romance develops between Dan and Dora, but it is complicated by Dan’s marriage and the intrusion of another suitor. The wife dies, however, freeing the lovers to marry. AFI
