Fanny Daniels borrows $500 from Claude Lambert, her employer, for the trousseau for her marriage to Clinton Ferris. When Lambert asks for the money, Fanny draws a check on Clinton's account because she dislikes having to ask her husband for money. There is a row when Clinton finds out; Fanny leaves him and returns to work for Lambert. Clinton then realizes his wife's attitude and agrees to "live 50-50" with her. AFI
