PEI Liquor Fresh New Flavours 2025
CHARCUTERIE BOARD TIPS & TRICKS
Total time 30 minutes | 8 servings
Variety of cheeses (applewood smoked cheddar, aged white cheddar and Shropshire blue) Pickled bits (green and black olives) Something sweet (honey and black currant jam) Cured meats (prosciutto, red wine–cured salami and Genoa salami) Fresh and dried fruit (raspberries and dried pears) Crunchy bits (cashews, pistachios, fig and fruit & nut crackers)
1. Pick your board, dishes and spoons/knives. A large wooden cutting board or any flat tray works well here. Add contrast with wooden spoons and small ceramic dishes. 2. Place your cheeses in a triangle around the board. 3. Add dishes with pickled bits and jam around the board, close to the cheese (these will pair well together). 4. Add meats by folding, lying flat or rolling them in sections around the cheeses. Spreading each item out will ensure everyone around the board has access to all of the ingredients. 5. Add fruit, nuts and crackers to fill in any gaps. Add utensils for serving and garnish with fresh herbs or edible flowers.
