ACT Reviews 2022-2023 Season

just could not help laughing. The acting space places restrictions on the production but the director and choreographers, Lauren Livesey and Emily Bellis, took all this into account and made the most of it. The dance numbers were enjoyable to watch and were all excellently accompanied by the musical director, Neil Ravenscroft. The staging from Santi Paradeda and George Bellis was attractive, with most of it built by the workshop team of Cliff Burton and Ian Howarth. The lighting design and sound effects, props, wardrobe and make up organised by Sara Brockway, Claire Hartley and Emma Kavanagh all added their touch to of magic. One of the highlights of the production for me was the inclusion of Makaton (a communication tool, using speech and symbols) during the performance. This was great to see and brought a tear to my eye as in my working life, I was and still am an advocate in its use. The audience reaction during and at the end of this pantomime said it all. This was a fun filled Sunday afternoon which provided laughter and smiles. Well done!
